These freezable and simple-to-make fish patties are ideal as a family meal or can be made and frozen individually as a quick last-minute kids supper, from toddlers to teens

  1. Wash hake, place in a pot, add milk, garlic and season with salt and pepper
  2. Simmer for 15 minutes or until fish is cooked.
  3. Allow to cool. Remove fish fillet off the bone gently so you are left with fish flakes.
  4. Add mashed potatoes, chopped parsley and more seasoning if required.
  5. Form balls and flatten slightly, dip in beaten egg and then breadcrumbs.
  6. Repeat process until mixture is finished.
  7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
  8. Heat pan, add 2 cups of ZIMGOLD cooking oil.
